MEET SHERYL MUZZILLO
Abstract Expressionist
My subject matter is an amalgam of the fleeting ideas, feelings, words, colors, and forms that twist and overlap while I perform my day-to-day actions. I use traditional (acrylic, watercolor) and nontraditional (found objects, fiber) materials to express these abstract concepts, often with a bold, brilliant palette that punctuates my unspoken sentences.
Current Work
Concepts
I’m currently exploring several themes, including a series of deconstructed, otherworldly dolls, a collection of wearable hand-beaded neckpieces, and two- and three-dimensional crochet and macramé “paintings,” as well as migraine-aura representations in pen and watercolor and whimsical interpretations of tropical insects in pen and ink.
